Summerish House

Summer is almost here and what´s a summer without some sun-drenched beats?

First of, the beautiful Cora Novoa- Unattainable love (Original mix)

Second tune is the Soulwax remix of the hit "Kids" by MGMT

And what is a summer without Paul Keeley?

Now til another favorite of mine; Mango. I could have gone with "Handelskai", but i choose "Friday coffe"

The last song is actually last summer hottest tune if you ask me. Im talking about Chris Lake feat. Emma Hewitt- Carry me away

Nathan Fake- You are here (Four Tet remix)

This lovely little tune is taken from the EP You are here, released on Border Community. It also contains the original but it´s the Four Tet´s remix that really grabs you. Beautiful music.

Steve Reich- Fast (Electric counterpoint)

The original is actually from 1989, but i love all the different versions. Let the music speak for itself:

Empire of the sun- Walking on a dream

Luke Steele and Nick Littlemoore are the two lads that are behind this project. They made there debut in 2008 and this is there debutalbum. Their sound remind me of somehow of Röyksopp. This two clips are my favorites from the album:

Country

Walking on a dream

Air France- No way down EP

These swedish gents released this EP in 2008 on the Sincerely Yours- label. Two years after there debut-EP "On trade winds". Smooth and relaxing beats with nice chilled melodies are what you can expect from this EP.

Collapsing on your doorstep

No excuses

Jody Wisternoff- Cold drink, hot girl

50 % of the Way out west-project Jody Wisternoffs single from 2006. This tune is summer for me. Smooth and slick!

Pryda- F12 & Human behavior

Eric Prydz might me best known to the public for his megahit "call on me", but it´s under his Pryda-alias he releases his gems. This is the b-side to the heavily overplayed "Pjanoo". F12 is in my opinion the best tune that ever came out from the Prydz studio. Only "human behavior" from 2004 can compare.

Human Behavior

Embee- Shibuya

Embee is the main producer behind the swedish hiphop-group Looptroop rockers. This tune is from his debut album "Tellings from solitaria". The Reinins Zarins quartet is responsible for the magnificent guitarsolos.

Dj Shadow- Six days (Remix)

This gem is from 2002 and features Mos Def on the mic. The mix between Shadows dirty drumwork and the vocalsamples from "Six Day War" by Colonel Bagshot and "I Cry In The Morning" by Dennis Olivieri makes this track i real killer.

LTJ Bukem- Journey inwards

In 2000 LTJ Bukem released his album "Journey inwards" and this is the first song from the album. A smoothing track with some jazzinfluenced rifs and the LTJ-trademark breakish drums.

Journey Inwards

Telefon Tel Aviv

"Immolate yourself is the duos third album from the start 1999. The band constisted of Charles Cooper and Joshua Eutis. Cooper passed away in januari 2009. "Immolate yourself" is my favorite album from TTA. The record has a nice flow throughout the whole thing. Here´s my favorites from the album.

Helen of Troy

You´re the worst thing in the world

Gui Boratto- No turning back

This tune is featured on Guis new album called "Take my breath away" which is released on Kompakt. I think this is the strongest tune on the alum, but the whole album is a really solid album with much varied styles. "No turning back" is a really beautiful progressive house-tune with slick synthlines and a break to die for.

Shiny toy guns

i first came in contact with this group when i heard "Dont cry out" in 2005 and then i was hooked. Their style range, just as M83, from rock to synth/electronica.

Dont cry out  (Taken from the album "We are pilots" from 2005)

Money for that (From the album "Season of poison" from 2008)

Pendulum- Slam

Pendulum is a breakbeat-band from the UK. Slam was featured on their debut-album 'Hold you coulor" from 2005. Released on Breakbeat Kaos

La Roux - In For The Kill (Skream's Let's Get Ravey Mix)

Nice remix from Olli Jones aka Skream. The orginal pass unnoticed, but this remix really takes the cake. Got a nice basline and some sweet dub step-kicks and a cool atmosphere. Released on Polydor 2009.
